Im Horrible At This..

Im trying to get motivated to decorate for Christmas. I have a small tree up that my mom made for Cooper and thats about it. And this wreath on the front door. I normally put stuff up before Thanksgiving, Im just very behind this year.

Me and Cooper this morning. Im trying to cut his nails. He is 10 1/2 weeks old and I have already cut his fingers 2 different times trying to do this. It makes me nervous, but John will not dare do it. He is afraid he will cut him too. But, if I dont he scratches his face and really cries then.

All done, thats why Im smiling and I didn't even cut him!! Yay!! He is showing off his new "manicure" ladies!!

girl don't worry... i cut both the boys fingers a few times... and made them bleed like crazy! i HATE cutting them... 20 fingernails and 20 little toenails, it's a chore i put off til it can't wait any longer! glad you were successful this time :o)

You crack me up! I always hate cutting nails...both Grace and Jacob pull away and they are so strong!

You both are so beautiful! I love your wreath. You have a new baby, you are so entitled to keep it low key this year with decorations.
I also was horrible at trimming baby nails.

Oh how sweet. I can only imagine how your nerves are...I'm sure I'll be the same way with my two girls, but I can't wait.

Love the wreath!
I filed Miles' nails until he was about 5 months old. Much safer and no bleeding! The first time I actually clipped them, I took a chunk out of his thumb. :(

Nails get easier - I was nervous too though, so I understand that happy picture when you were finished!

Love the pictures on your blog - and your header photo is especially gorgeous!

Clipping their little nails was SO stressful! My grandma told me a tip- and it made so much sense! Wait to clip them until they are asleep! It makes it so much easier because you don't have to fight with their wiggles. I kept a pair of baby clippers on the end table by the couch so I could grab them after a feeding when the girls were conked out! :) Hope it helps!
